“Tonight isn’t about Wizkid, it’s not about Star Boy, it’s about African Music”, were the words echoed throughout the night by the Star Boy himself and indeed he showed and proved that the movement is bigger than him. Star Boy Fest is for the culture.

Wizkid held the second annual Star Boy Fest in London’s O2 Arena and shared the stage with a host of artists from opening acts Ms Banks, Afro B, Maleek Berry, Ycee and his very own DJ Tunez. As well as special guests Reekado Banks, Danny Blaze, Starboy Terry, Adusi, Naira Marley, Fireboy, Runtown, Tiwa Savage, Olamide and the man of the moment Burna Boy.

It was a star studded night with the guest artists putting in just as much work as the headliner and we would be remiss not to give these stars their props as they garnered mind blowing reactions from the crowd when they touched down on the stage and had everyone dancing and singing at the top of their lungs. And let’s not forget the energetic host Eddie Kadi who ensured every person in the crowd from the bottom to the top were ready to go to another level.
