Dele Sosimi’s music career began when he joined Afrobeat Pioneer Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80 band in 1979 until 1986.

He then created Positive Force band with Femi Kuti, with whom he performed from 1986 to 1994.

He also worked with Tony Allen, in 2002 he released his debut album Turbulent Times.
