Way is the first single off “CKay The First”, the artists second EP to be released on the 30th of August.
On this lead single, he marries not only two distinct genres but also two distant generations by interpolating Beethoven’s 5th symphony of 1808 with 2019’s afrobeats percussion filled rhythm and vibe. It is a feel good song with witty lyrics that celebrates the Lagos living, and lavish lifestyle.
A certain club hit, Way serves as a bold statement from CKay that he is one to watch. This single opens up the CKay Season ahead of his much anticipated EP,
The Warner-Partnered Chocolate City artist says “I just want people to see what we have been working on. We have put in a lot of effort to give everyone great music, and we think that work will reflect when they hear Way, as well as the rest of the EP.”
Already tearing up airwaves and topping playlists across streaming platforms, safe to say where there is a will there is a Way, and where there is a Way, there is CKay.
