When one of the godfathers of UK Garage music, award-winning OI’skool garage producer & world-renowned DJ Masterstepz does afrobeats he joins forces with no other than afrobeats sensation SILVASTONE to blow our minds.
These two powerhouses have joined forces to take us on a “new wave” of GAFRO, the eclectic hit of GArage & AFRObeats dubbed the saucy new sound to hit our airwaves by the sensational duo Kwamz n Flava with their self-entitled track ‘Gafro’.
Now with the soon to be released saucy sound of “Feeling Your Melody” continuing with the OI’skool garage sounds linking arms with afrobeats, all OI’skool garage ravers and new skool wonders are sure to be seduced by this new sound as “Feeling Your Melody” is set to be released on Friday 20th November on all platforms.
“Feeling your Melody” is inspired by “Melody” – the seminal 1998 UK Garage classic by the internationally renowned DJ Masterstepz. SILVASTONE gives it a completely new twist for the new era by peppering with a multitude of Afrobeats seasonings and serves up a very tasty new main course.
We are told the single will be simultaneously released with an accompanying music video that is inspired by pre-millennium UKG visuals. The video was aptly filmed at the iconic ‘Ministry Of Sound’ – the super-club that many will know is synonymous with UK Garage at its most mainstream height, and features starring cameos from several of the genre’s much-celebrated legends.
“Feeling Your Melody” is the second single off SILVASTONE’s upcoming fourth EP entitled ‘Evolution’ which is already enjoying overwhelming early specialist love at RinseFM, Reprezent, CapitalXtra, and 1Xtra.
