Catchy Catchy- Myx Quest x Kelvyn Boy x Efya ft. Camidoh

After significant impact with his previous single No Apologies with M.anifest, Kimarne and B4Bonah by being played on BBC 1 Radio 1 / BBC Introducing (Huw Stephens), BBC 1 Xtra (Mista Jam & Nadia Jae), Capital Xtra (Manny Norte & Ras Kwame), Reprezent (Remi Burgz) etc.

plus played across numerous major stations in Ghana and Nigeria by high profile OAPs and landing multiple editorial playlists across DSPs including Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Audiomack etc.

Myx Quest is set to drop his next single “Catchy Catchy”! This time around the multi-genre producer teams up with Kelvyn Boy, one of Ghana’s hottest artists making huge waves globally, Efya who is definitely one of the biggest artists in Africa and absolutely one of the Queens of current Ghanaian music and Camidoh who is a fast-rising very talented singer-songwriter also from Ghana who’s been tipped to become a household sensation this year! As expected by anyone who’s into Myx Quest’s music, sonically it pleasantly does not fit into any one box or genre.

Though the toplines are clearly Afrobeats or Afro-Fusion influenced, the instrumentation has a number of genre influences and on this record what particularly stands out is the Classical Music influence in the musical composition, which is further, enhanced by the use of strings and harp played.

This is then blended with typical African cultural instruments and rhythms with a usual slight twist with the drum rhythm giving us another solid timeless record of superior standard and quality.

When asked what his vision or inspiration was for Catchy Catchy, Myx Quest responded… “I wanted to create a record that is musically evocative and captivating globally yet lyrically and top-line wise culturally relatable to Afrobeats’ lovers”.
