Asa, Nigerian-French singer / songwriter with a distinctive, unique voice.

She combines elements of traditional Yoruba lyrics, Afrobeat, soul, pop, folk and reggae among other influences, in her warm Neo- soul.

In 2010, she released Beautiful Imperfection after emerging in 2007.

In 2019 she released her forth studio album, Lucid.

Her debut album, released on Naive Records in 2007, with lead single, “Fire on the Mountain”, took Africa, Nigeria by storm due to the lyrics of the song, which reflect the Political situation in the country, received positive review and airplay on radio station throughout Africa and Europe.

Moreover, Her songs feature mainly English lyrics, including Yoruba, a language spoken in Western part of Nigeria.
